A lot of cases of political personalities were under consideration and within two days NAB arrested three major political personalities. Asif Ali Zardari the former President of Pakistan has been arrested under the fake bank accounts case and money laundering. However, on the very next day the leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N Hamza Shahbaz Sharif has been arrested under the cases related to Saaf Pani Company, Ramzan Sugar Mills and assets meanwhile, on the same day the founder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement MQM, Altaf Hussain has been arrested by Scotland Yard under the case of his anti-Pakistan speeches in 2016.
Islamabad High Court rejected the plea for extension in the interim bail of Zardari and his younger sister Faryal Talpur NAB did not arrest his sister and prior to taking Zardari first under custody and after medical examination, he has been cleared and presented for the physical remand on Tuesday. NAB claims that Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur owned the same company and received 30 million of 4.4 Billion in suspicious transactions through a fake bank account.
Besides, more than 20 FIRs has been registered against Altaf Hussain in 2016 for the anti-Pakistan and hate speeches and under this Scotland Yard police has been arrested him on Tuesday. “A man has today, Tuesday, 11 June, been arrested in connection with an investigation into a number of speeches made by an individual associated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in Pakistan,” read a statement by London’s Metropolitan Police.
Meanwhile, on the same day, Lahore High Court dismissed the request in bail extension and NAB team arrested Hamza Shahbaz Sharif under three cases of corruption.
While chairing the meeting of PTI’s parliamentary party on the same day Tuesday, Prime minister of Pakistan Imran Khan responded on the arrests and said, “Allah is being too kind towards Pakistan.”
